Sand Rock, Gaylesville lead All-Cherokee County football team

Sand Rock and Gaylesville led the way with nine first-team players each on the 2013 Cherokee County All-County team released recently.

The Wildcats placed Chandler Mackey, Dylan Mackey, Ethan Jimmerson, Austin Godshall, Zane Farrar, Isaac Arnold, Austin Chambers, Dustin Chambers and Aaron Adkins on the first team.

For the Trojans, Cole Murphy, Gage Davis, Dylan Mitchell, Dylan Cavin, Daniel Williams, Austin Lindsey, Gable Lawson, Seth Dawson and Allen LaFavor were first-team choices.

Also making the first team were Cherokee County’s Dallas Cabe, Chase May, Andrew Johnson, Natron Miller, Ty Green and Brad Minor, Spring Garden’s Will Ivey, Matt Mullinax and Hunter Bondie and Cedar Bluff’s Dalton Cosby, Blake Terry, Jake Mintz, Devante Dixon and Wesley Richardson.

Being named honorable mentions were Kenyon Dupree, Nahumn Horten, JT Hill and Wade Griffith of Cherokee County, Hunter Crider, Ben Ivey, Quentin Downey and Sam Parris of Spring Garden, Delontae Williams, Logan Shinn and Jordan McElroy of Cedar Bluff, Will Smith, Logan Hurley, Nick Moore and Dylan Evans of Gaylesville and Aaron McGarvey, Matthew Tinsley, Daniel Holcomb, Seth Mackey, Alex McMahan, Chase Garrett and Zac Bobo of Sand Rock.
