Southside enters ASWA high school football poll

Southside entered the Alabama Sports Writers Association's high school football poll at No. 10 in Class 5A for Week 7.

The Panthers (6-0, 4-0 in 5A, Region 7) defeated Arab 45-25 last week to remain undefeated.

Piedmont held steady at No. 2 in 3A. Fyffe moved up one spot, to No. 5, in 2A.

Sardis fell from the top 10 after a 35-13 loss to Guntersville, but still received votes.

Also receiving votes in 5A was Etowah.
