Piedmont, Geraldine move up 1 spot in ASWA poll

Piedmont and Geraldine moved up one spot each in the Class 3A state rankings of the Alabama Sports Writers Association's high school football poll released Wednesday.

The Bulldogs (2-0) reached No. 2 while the Bulldogs (2-0) ascended to No. 6.

In 2A, Fyffe remaine at No. 8.

In 5A and 4A, Etowah and Sardis, repsectively, received one vote for the poll.

In 1A, Gaylesville received 13 votes while Collinsville gained one vote.
