GLENCOE — Glencoe’s Austin Hancock signed Monday to play basketball at Birmingham Southern College.

Hancock was honored at a signing ceremony at the school library.

The 5-foot-11 guard averaged 13.6 points per game his senior season and led the Yellow Jackets in scoring the past two seasons.

Hancock was a member of The Gadsden Times’ All-Etowah County Second Team as a senior and was a first-team selection as a junior.

The multi-sport star also made The Times’ All-Etowah County football team the past two seasons.
