No. 7 Sand Rock rallies past Weaver

WEAVER — Class 2A, No. 7 Sand Rock rallied to defeat Weaver 9-4 Friday in high school baseball.

Trailing 4-3 in the top of the seventh, the Wildcats (4-3) scored six runs to get the comeback win. Chandler Mackey and Austin Godshall each had two-RBI singles in the inning.

Dylan Mackey had an RBI single. Ethan Jimmerson had one hit. Perry Stevens started and went four innings for Sand Rock, allowing three runs and four walks. Dustin Chambers relieved him, going two innings while yielding one run and fanning four. Austin Chambers pitched the seventh inning to get the win. He gave up one hit while striking out one.

The Wildcats visit Glencoe today.
