Troup leads Southside over Sardis 53-44

SOUTHSIDE — Southside beat Sardis 53-44 in girls high school basketball Thursday.

Haley Troup had 17 points, six rebounds and four steals for the Panthers (3-2). Sydney D’Eath chipped in eight points. Lindsey Hindsman had five points. Beth Allen Smith had five points and five rebounds.

Kameron Carter paced the Lions with 14 points.
