Fyffe remains unbeaten, beats Sand Rock

FYFFE — Class 2A, No. 3 Fyffe remained unblemished with a 32-7 victory over Region 7 foe Sand Rock Friday.

Trent Thrash had a huge night for the Red Devils (6-0, 4-0), rushing for 199 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries. 

Cameron Gipson hit on 3 of 4 passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns for the normally run-heavy hosts. 

Dylan Mackey completed 14 of 20 passes for 121 yards and a touchdown (to Chandler Mackey) for the Wildcats (3-3, 2-2). 

Chandler Mackey led Sand Rock with 83 yards rushing on nine carries. Austin Chambers contributed 58 yards on 11 attempts. Ethan Jimmerson had a tackle for loss on defense.
