Glencoe's Daugherty signs with BSC

GLENCOE — Former Glencoe linebacker T.J. Daugherty recently signed to play football for Birmingham-Southern College.

Glencoe held a signing ceremony Thursday for Daugherty,  who was named to The Gadsden Times’ All-Etowah County team in 2011 after a stellar senior season.

Daugherty made 127 tackles and 17 stops for a loss in 2011 to go along with 21⁄2 sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery.
